Private Pilot Licence (PPL)

There are only a few things in life which give you such a feeling of self-satisfaction as the first time your flight instructor steps out of the aircraft and says, ‘You are right to go on your own.’ It is a memory which every pilot, regardless of how long ago they learnt to fly, remembers like it was yesterday. Country Capital Aviation is able to offer everyone the same opportunity regardless of your background or schooling achieved.

Obtaining your Private Pilot Licence (PPL) enables you to fly anywhere within Australia, solo or with private passengers in daytime Visual Meteorological Conditions (VMC). You will no longer require your instructor's permission to undertake a flight as Pilot In Command (PIC).

During your PPL training you will learn; Basic aircraft handling, takeoff, circuit and landing, first solo flight, circuit consolidation, emergency procedures, advanced turns, advanced stalls, short-field takeoff and landing, cross-wind takeoff and landing, precautionary search and landing, basic instrument flying and area solo. After passing your General Flying Progress Test (GFPT) you move on to Navigation Training.

Once you have obtained your PPL you may consider a career in aviation by gaining your Commercial Pilots Licence (CPL), which will mean completing more flight training to a higher level which will allow you to carry passengers for hire or reward. This licence is needed to operate as a light aircraft charter pilot. You will now be able to fly as Pilot In Command of single pilot aircraft or as co-pilot in multi-crew aircraft.

All Country Capital Aviation flight instructors are professionals in their field which means that your training is at the highest possible standard. The cost for an average person for the issue of a PPL would be around $15,900. The price varies from student to student depending on learning ability.
